Saint Augustine’s helps disabled pupils take a full and active part in the curriculum by adapting teaching so that every child can access learning in a way that works for them. This may include using visual supports, breaking tasks into smaller steps, offering different ways to record work, providing sensory tools, or adjusting the classroom layout to reduce distractions. Some pupils may also receive small-group or one-to-one support, use assistive technology, or benefit from guidance from specialist professionals. We also listen closely to pupils and parents and regularly review support to make sure it continues to meet each child’s needs.
